$100 Guarantee Terms & Conditions
Our promise is simple: if we can't beat your eligible merchant rate, we'll pay you $100. Like any offer, it comes with reasonable conditions so it's fair to everyone. Here they are in full.

The promise
If you complete a merchant rate comparison with MerchantRates and you are eligible under these terms, and we are unable to beat your current eligible merchant rate, we will pay you $100. This offer is provided by MerchantRates, an Australian Merchant Payment Advisory (AMPA) initiative.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the $100 Guarantee, all of the following must be met:
- Established business. Your business must have been operating and established since at least January 2025 (approximately 18 months).
- No recent provider change. Your business must not have switched or changed its merchant or payment provider since January 2025. The guarantee is intended for businesses on a settled, existing arrangement.
- Serviceable by MerchantRates. Your setup must be one we can actually provide a comparable or better solution for, and you must be willing to switch providers. Businesses on closed or deeply integrated all-in-one POS ecosystems that they are unable or unwilling to move from may not be eligible, because a like-for-like comparison and switch is not possible.
- Accurate information provided. You must provide accurate and current rate and statement information so that we can properly assess your existing costs. The comparison relies on the figures you give us being correct and verifiable.
How a claim works
- You complete a comparison with us and provide the required current-rate and statement information for assessment.
- We assess your existing eligible merchant costs against the options available to you.
- If you are eligible and we cannot beat your current eligible rate, we pay you $100.
Conditions
- One claim per business. The guarantee is limited to one claim per business.
- Eligibility is determined by MerchantRates. We assess eligibility and whether a comparable or better solution is available, acting reasonably.
- "Beat your rate" is assessed on a like-for-like basis. We compare comparable merchant pricing for your industry, volume and setup; the comparison is not valid where accurate current information has not been provided.
- The offer may be varied or withdrawn. We may change or withdraw this offer at any time. The version published on this page at the time of your comparison applies to you.
- Eligibility criteria must be met. Terms and conditions apply; if the eligibility criteria above are not met, the guarantee does not apply.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
